High carbon steel
METALONG's core business is to supply steel wire or stranded wires core to reinforce transmission line conductors.
Steel wires can be classified into different grades by:
- Different coating type
1. Aluminium Cladding
2. Zinc -5% Aluminium- Mischmetal Alloy Coated
3. Pure zinc coated
- Strength grades
> Normal grade
> EHS grade
> UHS grade
It is a challenge, if UHS grade and different coated types are combined. METALONG can do.
Technology
For Galvanized Steel Wires
By hot-dip coating through melton zinc and/or zinc-aluminium bath, wipping by nitrogen gas or charcoal
For ACS wires
Continuous COMFORM aluminium cladding

Aluminium clad steel wire to ASTM B415, B502 EN61232 grade 14, 20, 27, 30 & 40 SA
Galvanized steel wire to ASTM B498, classA, IEC 60888, EN50189, ASTM B957 (UHS grade)
Zinc -5% Aluminium- Mischmetal Alloy Coated wire to ASTM B802 (normal strength), 803 (EHS) and B958 (UHS)
